In this section, we present answers on the most frequently questions related to resources and applications of the QuestManager online survey software.

CREDIT SYSTEM - MEANS OF PURCHASING
  • Must I pay a monthly fee or subscription to have access to a QuestManager license? Top

No. The QuestManager license is directly related to its credit system with no additional costs. All you have to do is purchase one of our credit packages to have full access to the system and begin your projects.

  • What does “No License Fee, No Monthly Fee, No Long Term Contract” mean? Top

These terms sum up QuestManager’s commercial method. To use our platform you don’t need to have a license contract, pay monthly fees or be chained down by a long term fidelity contract. All you have to do is purchase a credit package and use it in whichever survey you’d like.

  • What are credits? How can I use them? Top

Each credit corresponds to a single questionnaire with either partially saved or fully completed answers. In other words, if you purchase a package of 1,000 credits, you can save up to 1,000 questionnaires which have been answered by interviewees. You get to chose how you’d like to split up your credits among your ongoing projects.

For example: With 1,000 credits you can make:

    Study 1: 300 interviewees
    Study 2: 500 interviewees
    Study 3: 250 interviewees
    Study 4: 150 interviewees
    Study 5: 100 interviewees
    Total: 1000 interviewees= package with 1,000 credits

  • What does a saved of finalized questionnaire mean? Top

To deduct credits from the current balance of your license, QuestManager only considers questionnaires that have partially or fully saved answers. This occurs when an interview is interrupted to be finished at some other time or when the questionnaire was fully completed.

If for some reason, the interview is discarded because the interviewee gave an answer which excludes him from the appropriate profile, this will not use up credit and the answers will not be saved. Nonetheless, QuestManager will still present the quantitative of discarded interviews and the reasons as to why they were discarded.

Although QuestManager doesn’t subtract credit from disqualified questionnaires, if requested, the answers may be saved without affecting the quotas and will subsequently deduct credit from your balance.

As you are programming QuestManager, you can include a “save” or “save for later” button. If the interviewer saves the answers in the middle of a questionnaire to get back to them later, a credit will be deducted. But if this questionnaire is complete later on, no further credits will be deducted since this was already done the first time it was saved.

  • I purchased the smallest credit package. Do I still have unlimited access to the system? Top

Yes. No matter which package you purchase, your credits give you unrestricted access to all of the tools and utilities of the system. You may use all the resources for your projects and will only be limited by the number of saved participations versus the number of credits you have purchased in your license.

  • What are the expiration conditions of my credits? Top

Please refer to the expiration conditions in your package.

  • My credits are up before their expiration date. Will I be charged to access the data I have stored on the system? Top

No. Even once your credit is up, you still have access to QuestManager to verify your history or prepare new surveys. Your limitation will be regarding the application of these surveys since you are out of credit. This access will be granted until your most recent package expires.

    For example:

Last package purchase: 6th Jan, 2009
Expiration date for this purchase: 6th Jan, 2010
Credits are up: 12th Nov, 2009
Deadline for system access: 6th Jan, 2010 (in other words, the same expiration date as your credit package).

  • How long will my license stay active? How can I renew it? Top

Your license and login access to QuestManager have the same expiration date as your most recently purchased credit package. If your most recent package has a 12 month expiration date, your license will be active for 12 months, even if you run out of credit before your license is up. To renew your license, all you have to do is purchase new credit packages.

  • I didn’t buy new credits and my license expired. How do I go back to using QuestManager? Top

QuestManager stores all of your survey history for up to 12 months after your license has expired. To reactivate your license and recover your data, all you have to do it purchase more credits with the same login you used before.

    For example:

Expiration date for your credits and license: 6th Jan, 2009
Final deadline for new credit purchase and license reactivation storing survey history: 6th Jan, 2010

  • How do I purchase more credits? What happens to the expiration date of my new package if I still have previous credits that haven’t expired yet? Top

To buy new credit, all you have to do is log on to QuestManager using your login and password and click on the credit field. If you have no more previous credits, your new credits will be automatically activated. However, if you have remaining credit, your new credit will only be activated once your previous package runs out or expires. That way, you can purchase new credits whenever you like without worrying about expiration issues.

    For example:

1st Jan, 2009: Purchase of 1,000 credit package with an expiration date of 12 months.
    12th Mar, 2009: Use of 900 credits.
    Balance: 100 credits
1st June, 2009: Purchase of another 500 credits. This credit will be inactive until the total consumption or expiration of the remaining 100 credits from the initial package.
15th Nov, 2009: Use of the remaining 100 credits from the initial package. The validity of the second package of 500 credits begins, with a new 12 month expiration date.( 15th Nov, 2010)

In other words, in the example above, the 500 credits package purchased on 1st June, 2009 only expires on 15th Nov, 2010, one year after it was activated.

If a part of your credits were not used up until the expiration date of your package they expire and can no longer be used. Make sure to stay updated since our system sends out notifications to our entire customer base regarding expiration dates and renewal deadlines

  • Can I purchase more than one credit package at a time? Top

Yes, you can. You can renew leftover credit for a time without having to pay for renewal. All you have to do is purchase a new package before the previous one expires. New credit automatically renews old credit. The expiration date of the new and renewed credit will be that of the new package.

    Example 1

    232 credits that will expire.
Purchase of a new package of 300 credits with a 12 month expiration date-> Renews up to 300 old credits
    =
    300 (new) + 232 (renewed) = 532 credits with a 12 month expiration date.

    Example 2

    232 credits that will expire.
Purchase of a new package of 100 credits with a 12 month expiration date-> Renews up to 100 old credits
    =
    100 (new) + 100 (renewed) = 200 credits with a 12 month expiration date.
In this case, 132 old credits expired and were lost.
